David Young has lived and worked in London, Sydney and for the past 15 years, in Byron Bay. He was formally trained in London and has over 25 years’ experience as a professional advertising, editorial and arts photographer. He photographs any subject matter but has a specialist reputation in interiors, architecture, food, products, people and stock.
David shoots regularly for national lifestyle magazines which
have included, House and Garden, Country Style, Vogue Living,
Home Beautiful, Marie Claire, Belle, Interiors, Real Living,
Inside Out, Gourmet Traveller, Delicious, Harpers Bazaar,
Cleo, Good Weekend, Coast, Womens Weekly, Womans Day,
New Idea, She, GQ, Sunday Life, and Qantas and Virgin in-flight
magazines.
He has also freelanced for publishers such as ABC Books, Time,
ACP, Murdoch, Harper Collins, Fairfax, Pan, Pacific Mags, Federal
Publishing Co. and Readers Digest. He has also shot on a wide
variety of books including the Womans Weekly Cookbooks;
Family Circle Homemaker series; The Len
Evans Cookbook; The Australian Kitchen
series, Margaret Fulton (for New Idea), and The
Byron Bay Cookbook which he co published.
David has developed an extensive local client base that features
